Honey Creek Resort State Park on Rathbun Lake Moravia Iowa

Honey Creek Resort State Park

Located on Rathbun Lake near Moravia, Iowa, Honey Creek Resort State Park is “Iowa’s newest outdoor destination.” Built in the Arts and Crafts style, the spacious Honey Creek Resort Lodge is welcoming and comfortable from the moment you step foot inside. We stayed in a king room with a view of the lake.

Honey Creek Resort Has a Wide Variety of Activities

Activities include fishing, swimming and sunbathing along the sandy beach, boating, golf, bicycling, walking/hiking, birdwatching, swimming in the pirate themed indoor water park, or our favorite — just plain relaxing in an adirondack chair on the outdoor patio, overlooking the view of the river with a glass of wine from the full-service lounge. Dinner at the Lakeshore Grille highlighted products grown and raised in Iowa.

Honey Creek Resort as a Destination

As Iowa’s first state-run state park resort, Honey Creek Resort truly is a destination in itself and is worth the trip!
